Volunteer Recap: Bag Decorating for the Elderly

CLJSS hosted our first volunteer event of the semester at Idea Commons, where members decorated gift bags and wrote cheerful messages for older adults in our community.

This service project was done in collaboration with Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly (LBFE), a nonprofit that helps reduce loneliness and isolation among older adults through friendship, visits, and community support.

Volunteers spent the afternoon creating bright, hand-decorated bags—no experience needed, just creativity and care. Thank you to everyone who came out, and to LBFE for the opportunity to contribute.
